Durau for the weekend!

These past weekends I travelled in Romania. I want to share with you a nice place to spend a weekend: Durau, is situated  in Neamt county, at 780-800 m high, at the bottom of Ceahlau Mountains.

We accommodated close to Durau, in Ceahlau village, 6 km far from Durau and the morning coffee was on the villa terrace with the sun watching over Ceahlau Mountain, a landscape that you cannot forget.

In few words our weekend there was: fun, relaxing, an  interesting experience with hiking after a long time, meaning 12 km from Ceahlau village to Durau to Fantanele Chalet and then back home, summing 12 km per day :)

What I shall suggest to the owners of touristic villas, hotels, etc. is to make it aware to the client of there existence. When I Google it ‘accommodation in Durau’ only few of them were there. Strange and a pity for the development of tourism in Romania.
